​Throughout the year, we strive to raise funds for grants and awards through fundraising and events that support and advance the status of women.

Grants are provided to not-for profit or charitable organizations in Kitchener-Waterloo and international programs sponsored by Zonta International Foundation that focus on the advancement of the status of women. Grant applications are due in March. 

 

 Award: A framed certificate and recognition at a Zonta meeting. This Award recognizes women aged 55+ who have significantly contributed to our community. 

Each year, we choose different criteria from which we recognize women aged 55+ for their contributions to the community. Please see the application form for this years eligibility requirements. Application due: November 30 

Award: $1000 CDN, with the potential to compete for $1500 USD and then $4000 USD at Zonta's District and International levels. The Award encourages young women to participate in public and community affairs and issues. Female high school students 16-19 years old whom show commitment to public service through volunteerism and demonstrated leadership skills are eligible. Award: $1000 CDN, with the potential to compete for $2000 USD and then $8000 USD at Zonta's District and International levels. The Award encourages women to seek leadership positions in business-related fields, increasing women in executive business management positions.​ Women enrolled in an undergraduate or Master's business program whom achieve outstanding academic results and demonstrate initiative and ambition for a career in business management are eligible. Award application will be available in February 2020, with a deadline of May 15th 2020.  For more information contact Valerie Meyer 

Award: $1,000 Club level; eligibility for ​$2,000 USD District level, which leads to eligibility for $8,000 USD at the International level. 
The Women in Technology Scholarships are awarded to women of any age who are pursuing a technology degree or closely related program, or women who are pursuing continued advancement in technology.

Award: One of approximately 40 ​$10,000 USD fellowships. Established in 1938 to honour famed pilot and Zontian Amelia Earhart, these fellowships support women pursuing doctoral degrees in aerospace-related sciences and engineering. Women with superior academic records whom are enrolled in aerospace-related doctoral degree programs at a registered college or university are eligible. Application due: November 15 for the following academic year. |  Learn more   

Nina Zhang wins Jane M. Klausman

Nina took home an award for leadership and her studies in accounting, finance and management. She also won the district award and over $7,000 for her education at the University of Waterloo.
