WOODGIRLS: A DUET FOR A DREAM
The film follows Leila and Sedigheh, who are amongst the first women in Iran running their own woodshop. These two women have bravely chosen their profession with love and passion, a non-traditional move in their country. Considered strictly masculine, licenses and formal training in trades like carpentry are simply not available to women. With their self-taught skills, their Woodgirls shop, and a whole lot of grit, they set out to prove to their families, society, and themselves that no dream is impossible if you are brave enough to stand up for what you believe in.
