Welcome to the Zonta Club of Kitchener-Waterloo!


We're an organization of professional women working together in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy.


Chartered in 1978, our members work to improve the quality of life for women through fundraising, charitable giving and by recognizing outstanding community members through scholarships and awards. We also help charitable and not-for-profit organizations with service grants.   

We are members of Zonta International. Founded in 1919 in Buffalo, New YorkZonta International has more than 30,000 members in 31 districts around the world, and we're a member of District 4

"Zontians" volunteer their time, talents and support to local and international service ​projects to help advance the status of women worldwide. Zonta International, its districts and its clubs are nonsectarian and nonpartisan.    


Zonta International has operational relations with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organizations (UNESCO) and 

consultative status with 


  • To improve the legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional status of women at the global and local level through service and advocacy.

  • To work for the advancement of understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of members.

  • To promote justice and universal respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms.

  • To be united internationally to foster high ethical standards, to implement service programs, and to provide mutual support and fellowship for members who serve their communities, their nations and the world.

"Zonta" is a Sioux word that means honest, trustworthy, inspiring, security and banding together for the purpose of loyalty.
