Service Projects
Zonta Service is the action of helping or doing work that improves the legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional status of women and girls or prevents violence against them. This means that most of our activities and actions are service, whether it is by delivering hands-on service to women and girls, taking part in an advocacy action, fundraising, working with our awardee alumnae, being a member of a committee or serving in a leadership role at all levels of the organization.

Birthing Kits
Semi-annually, Zontians and their friends and family volunteer to help women and children in developing nations by assembling sterile birthing kits that reduce the incidents of infection and mortality in mothers and their newborn babies.

Noble House
For the last 20+ years, Zonta members contribute time and financial resources for holiday gifts for the residents of Noble House. The gifts for the approximate 26 residents of combined women and men, are purchased, wrapped and delivered each year before Christmas.

Food Bank
A group of members from our club volunteered at The Food Bank. We sorted 1,670 pounds of food in just under 2 hours, which equates to 1,304 essential meals.

Valentines Day Project
Zonta contacted a local group home and a retirement home, and our members hand wrote out 120 Valentine cards with uplifting messages.

Empower Voices
Zonta Team Says No will be participating for the second year in the Voices Empower Walk to raise Funds for Women's Crisis Services of Waterloo Region. You will see us wearing our orange Zonta Say No To Violence Against Women shirts, along with a purple accessory representing a symbol of peace, courage, survival, honour and dedication to ending violence.

Advocacy
Advocacy is the expression of support for, or opposition to, a cause, argument or proposal. Advocacy may include influencing laws, legislation or attitudes.
