Zonta Film Festival
Time & Location
About The Event
Zonta is proud to present an empowering festival of female filmmakers, right here in Kitchener-Waterloo! Don't miss your opportunity to see inspiring films and interact with directors from across the globe in our panel discussions. Plus, your ticket makes a difference: ALL proceeds from the festival are generously given to local charities and non-profits. Last year, we were able to contribute over $20,000 in film festival funds.
Zonta Club of Kitchener-Waterloo has served our community since 1978. Started by a small group of professional women wishing to advocate for each other through service to our community, the Club has raised over a million dollars for local and international charities through volunteer efforts. Our Club and its 50 members are part of Zonta International, a 30,000 member organization started in 1919 with ties to the United Nations. Learn more about our impact at zonta.org.
Zonta is nonsectarian and nonpartisan. As such, our films are inclusive of a diversity of views and opinions, whether we condone them or not. Zonta envisions a world in which women's rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential. In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision making positions on an equal basis with men. In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence.
